Last week I showed you my lily-white
table. This week the table is quite similar, but with
the addition of green by way of these lovely chargers gifted to me by tablescape
blogger Marigene Purcell of the In the
Middle of Nowhere blog. I cherish these plates. Having something
new and pretty to look at and work with cheered me enormously.
You first saw them last week, in their place of
honor on the Baker’s Rack during my redoing project that you can reacquaint
yourself with here. Marigene surely has the biggest collection of Bordallo Pinheiro that I have ever seen, in all shapes,
sizes, and colors, and is a real pro at mixing and matching them. If you want
to see some amazing tables, be sure to become a regular visitor of her blog.
Today’s table is to show
you just what a huge difference a small touch can make in changing up a table.
Now, not only was I fortunate enough to have received these charger plates, but doubly
fortunate in that I had a set of salad plates that matched, so I decided to use
both. The table goes from being serene to being quite bold with this simple
addition of patterned green.
The leaf plates with their
scalloped edges soften the earlier look, warming things up a bit.
I swapped out the Asian
glassware for the brown stemware that blends perfectly with this green and white
table.
Search your closets for something new to add
to your table and see what a difference it makes. And be sure to report back!

Happy to hear you are enjoying the chargers...they do add to your beautiful table, Pattie. Green and white gives a calming effect in these often chaotic days. Love those lion head soup bowls.
Have a wonderful week.
FABULOUS Pattie!! the black and white striped mats and the green and white plate stack is stunning! Sweet Marigene, queen of the cabbage dishware, how nice of her to send you such a lovely gift!

What a beautiful tablescape! I absolutely love it! I am swooning over the green chargers and salad plates! I love the organic feeling of them. I do wish you would come by and share this amazing tablescape at Celebrate Your Story!
wow, wow - this is beautiful - every photo u posted - so gorgeous. !! I'm looking forward to the LA County Fair this year (it's always the end of August) and my husband and I always make sure to go and see the table-scapes. I've taken many photos in the past. I love looking at them and my table scape is a nonissue - Just never took the time or had the motivation to create a pretty table. But I love looking at them.
It all looks absolutely lovely! :)
This is beautiful and so tastefully done!
Your table is so elegant and cheerful at the same time. Love the salad plates! I'm so glad it cheered you up :).
Sweet Pattie you know how much I love tablescapes. Yours is beautiful! Thank you for sharing at the Thursday Favorite Things link party. Watch for your feature tomorrow xo
Love your tablescape those dishes are a must have.
Saw your feature over at Celebrate & Decorate and had to stop by to check out your lovely tablescape. Terrific colour combo and especially like the b/w striped placemats under the wonderful dish stack!
I've long been a fan of Bordallo Pinheiro but had completely forgotten about it until I saw this post. So glad for your reminders to me to always include something beautiful in my life.
