Dishes to Welcome Spring

I’ve always believed that there is good and bad in everything, and the good that I am finding in cleaning out dad’s house this week are these lovely dishes that my mother bought back in the ‘70s.
I still remember when my mom bought this cute snack set. I had forgotten all about it until I found it in one of the cabinets.
In a nearby drawer I found this set of darling napkin rings. I’m so glad to have both in my home. It will challenge me to work with an entirely new color scheme from what I'm used to.

What would you serve in a set like this one?
Get the look.

I am in love with the napkin rings! It is very poignant to unearth these things from our parents after they have been tucked away for so many years and find a way to use them. I recently unpacked my mother's Desert Rose, and I find that I do enjoy using it. I like pink and green anyway, so of course these napkin rings resonated.

They are so cute and precious. The napkin holders are unique. I've never seen anything as beautiful. I'm anxious to see what you will do with them. I'm sure it will be lovely.

This is adorable! I love the pink and green together. What size are the plates/bowl?
It has been decades since I played bridge with a group, and this really brought back memories. :)

The bowls are BIG! I would say about 4" across and 2" (or more) high. It should hold a very hearty amount of soup or stew.

Those snack sets and napkin rings are so adorable, Pattie. I can picture your mom's bridge group sitting around and oohing and ahhing over those cute dishes. I would love a cup of tomato basil soup and some chicken salad in a lettuce cup.

I just love these napkin rings!!! They are fabulous as are the plates! I never learned to play bridge but have a group of friends who get together to play and yes, alternate each others homes. You are finding some great things!
