1 loaf French bread
½ c. butter
1 t. garlic powder
1 lb. provolone cheese, shredded
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Cover a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a Silpat; set aside.
Slice French bread on the bias.
Melt butter with garlic powder in a skillet over medium heat.
Dip one side of each bread slice into the garlic butter. Place onto prepared baking sheet and sprinkle generously with shredded cheese.
Bake until cheese is melted and lightly browned.
½ head romaine lettuce
1 small red onion, thinly sliced (I used a mandolin)
½ oz. Melissa’s Fire Roasted Red Peppers, diced
1 6-oz. can artichoke hearts, drained and quartered
¼ c. freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Dressing:
4 T. vegetable
oil
1 T. olive
oil
2 T. red
wine vinegar
Salt and pepper to taste
Break iceberg lettuce into quarters, separating leaves. Break romaine into
thirds. In a large bowl, combine lettuce, onion, pimentos, artichokes, and
Parmesan. Toss and chill.
For dressing, whisk oils, vinegar, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Pour dressing over chilled salad and serve.

Your Italian meal looks scrumptious and just as good as a restaurant!
We are struck dumb by the increase in restaurant prices the last few years. Lupe Tortilla used to be our go-to restaurant for Mexican food. Now it would cost us over $60 for queso and chips, my margarita, and our two favorite entrees. Crazy!
I'm always proud of myself after I finish a homemade meal that tastes even better than take-out. But man, the siren song of not cooking...the key is to make it too easy not to do myself and this is a great example. Your cheesy bread looks so good!
The garlic bread looks so good!
Love provolone! So tasty!
This post perfectly captures the frustration of pricey takeout and the joy of recreating favorites at home. Your Pasta House Company-inspired meal looks delicious and approachable—especially the cheesy garlic bread! It’s refreshing to see how easily restaurant-quality dishes can be made with pantry staples, saving money without sacrificing flavor. The recipes are clear, and the tip about skipping cannelloni for spaghetti and meatballs is smart and satisfying. I’ll definitely try the house salad soon. Thanks for the inspiration—and yes, we’re all just waiting for that 30% off coupon too!
What a good idea to recreate this takeout meal! The cheesy garlic bread looks especially tempting. 🧀🧄🍞
