This was great fun to put together. I incorporated largely green and black in
this table, added the trees to represent the woods, little illuminated houses
to represent grandma’s house, snowflake lights, and the wonderful salad plates
by 222 Fifth depicting the sleigh on which we would ride to get to grandma’s
house in the woods.
The little illuminated houses I found here. They come with their own battery-powered lights, but I
chose a flame in this instance. They are adorable whether it’s daytime or
nighttime.

The water glasses are by Mikasa in their “Park
Lane” pattern.
The hammered flatware that gives a nice bit of shine to this table is from Mikasa as well from their “Opulent” collection.

Patti- What a truly lovely table and I like that you chose such a unique theme rather than the traditional turkey theme. I too remember that song from my childhood and it brings back good memories. Your table is beautiful and I especially like the black and white dishes with the sleigh and the larger pate with the pine cones. I enjoyed reading about the details. Thanks.
Another beautiful table, so inviting!
I really love the color scheme here!
Pattie, this is such a sweet theme! I really love the PB pine cone plates and your creative use of the trees and houses--lovely! I hope you have a blessed Thanksgiving!
I think this is really lovely and a nice change from the usual Thanksgiving color schemes.
I love your different theme and think it is perfectly done. I especially like your plate stack with the wood charger and pine cone edged plate.
Fabulous table! Lovin those tall green trees (my theme for the Christmas holidays this year) The dinner dishes are gorgeous for winter, too! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Patti, I think this is a terrific idea. Love the plates rimmed in the greenery and the black and white sleigh plates. Great take on the upcoming seasonal changes. The wood chargers, hammered flatware, and all the special details added to your table are charming. Great job!!! Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Holidays ahead. Thanks for your friendship and inspiration.
Just lovely, Pattie!
Pattie, I love your different take on the traditional colors of autumn. You have executed your theme perfectly with the wood chargers, the pine cone and greenery rimmed plates, and the black and white sleigh plates. The houses and trees add the ideal touches for your table. I love hearing the old song, brings back sweet memories! Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving season!
Pattie, your table is so pretty. The pine cone edged plates and wooden chargers are so lovely and reminds me of a woodland theme. Love the 222 Fifth sleigh plates. Sometimes it's good to change things up. Those sweet little houses are adorable. The trees are stunning. Wishing you a magical thanksgiving.
Hi Patti...I like the over the river and through the woods theme and the plates are adorable. By the way, I can't think of any other Thanksgiving song either. LOL. I also like the wood slice chargers and pine cone and greenery rimmed plates. You have tied them all together beautifully. The little houses do give off the grandmother's house vibe, so good job. Always a pleasure to blog hop with you.
What a charming table! A lovely theme and colors…well done and fun to see. You are always so creative with your collections. Happy day. xo, Virginia
Good Morning Pattie, What a fun table, perfect so many seasons including Christmas and winter! I love the glass trees and cute candle houses. The contrast of the black silhouette sleigh plate and pine bough border plate is so striking and set off perfectly with the tree slice chargers. Once again, it’s a treat to join you at the table and hop with you! Happy November! 🦃🍂🧡
Oh my, I want this! In my mind and in actual shopping, I have been gathering much green, cream and white for a more calm and neutral look for the holidays (while my traditional red and green faithfully serves me each year) . This tablescape is perfect in so.many ways. One of the most appealing for me is how it transitions beautifully from fall to winter. The black accents on the salads and little houses are sharp, and those glass trees and drinking glassware are really pretty. The PB plates are so versatile too. A perfect rendition of Over the river and through the woods. Thank you, Pattie, for bringing a unique touch to our Thanksgiving blog hop.
Love this, my favorite holiday plates have scenes of the sleigh going through the woods to Grandma's house! I am particularly fond of those little lighted houses, I just put them in my Wishlist on Amazon.
Pattie! I LOVE your centerpiece trees! Those are so cool, especially with the staggered heights, and the little houses tucked in! What a great idea for a Thanksgiving table - so fun to use the song as your inspiration! And the black and white is perfect with the green. I do feel like I’m going through the woods! Love your snowflake candle holder on the table too. It makes me think of the times my mom did actually drive us through the woods at Thanksgiving, and the snow would start falling. It was a magical feeling and I get it again with your table – thanks for the wonderful memory AND the inspiration! Happy Thanksgiving!
Pattie, what a wonderful interpretation of a Thanksgiving theme - it is perfection! It will easily transition to winter and Christmas but the theme still stays true to Thanksgiving. Love the glass trees and tiny houses with candles. And oh my, those PB pine and pine cone plates are just gorgeous and the black and white sleigh plates are darling. Love the mugs too. I'd never heard of that song before and had to Google it; such a great theme. It was great hopping with you and wishing you a fantastic Thanksgiving!
Pattie, this is a charmingly woodsy interpretation of the song! The plate stack is lovely, incorporating wood, pine needles and cones, and especially the horse and sleigh. The houses lit from within would be just like those you'd encounter on the ride and I love the glass trees. Such a fun idea! Have a happy Thanksgiving!

Pattie! This table is so cute!!! I love the theme and now I can’t get the song out of my head!! Your plate stack is perfect, and those plates with the horse and sleigh are adorable. The trees and house candles are the perfect compliment to the place settings! Love it! I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving 🧡🦃
What a wonderful theme and you have executed it beautifully! The sleigh ride plates layered on the pine plates really tells the story! Using the green glass trees create a little forest right on top of the table! So very pretty :)
