There’s something magical about setting a beautiful seasonal
table. Year after year, I refresh my collection by waiting for those glorious
post-holiday 50% off sales. Yes, it means holding onto new treasures for a full
year before they shine, but the wait is always worth it.
This year’s Halloween centerpiece is pure joy: a Pottery Barn
cookie-jar haunted house I snapped up last season, complete with its matching
salt-and-pepper shakers. I adore anything haunted and anything house-related,
so this set felt inevitable.
To give the little manor a proper backdrop, I added a pair of
glowing light-up trees, and the whole scene instantly came to life.
The place settings continue the story. Weathered-green melamine
dinner plates from Williams-Sonoma provide a sturdy, earthy base. Stacked on
top are Williams-Sonoma’s Vintage Halloween salad plates, each featuring a
cheerful jack-o’-lantern and the classic “Happy Halloween” greeting.
New this year is the gold hammered silverware. Its soft shimmer catches the light and echoes the gold
accents on the salad plates. Bold orange napkins deliver the final pop of
color, tying everything together with festive energy.
The result is a table that feels slightly spooky, warmly
inviting, and thoroughly ready for Halloween celebrations. Many thanks to Rita of Panoply for

So much thought went into this beautiful tablescape. What fun!!
Wow! What a gorgeous table - I'd love to see it in the dark! So much to enjoy here - the Pottery Barn pieces - I don't have enough words - they are just perfect, cool, beautiful. I love that little leaf spoon in the pumpkin-colored cup. I love that you didn't just do orange/black - you added soft autumnal colors and made an eye-catching masterpiece!
Your table is charming Patti, and what a great idea to wait for a sale and tuck away the prizes until the following year. The only problem I have with that is I would forget I did such a thing and would go out and perhaps buy the same thing at full price only to discover at another holiday, my duplications. 🥴. Ask me how I know this?
The cookie jar and matching salt & pepper shakers are so cute. I love s&p's and have way too many of them. Your WS Happy Halloween Salad plates are perfect. I don't believe I have seen those. I like how you introduced the subtle green which brightens up your darker Halloween colors. All in all, your table captures the spirit of Halloween and I can only imagine the effect when the lights are down and the mood is up.

This is a gorgeous table setting for Halloween. I love the layers of colors on the table that give the perfect back drop for everything.
I love that! Love the haunted house centerpiece!
Pattie, such a fun table. I have adored PB’s haunted house cookie jar for years. How smart to wait for the sale, The salt and pepper shakers are darling. Love the WS melamine Happy Halloween plates. They look amazing with the pop of green. Your plate stack is lovely. Your new gold hammered silverware is gorgeous. Always a pleasure joining you in these hops.🎃
Those aren’t melamine, Linda, they are porcelain.
Pattie, your haunted manor creates the perfect centerpiece to set the mood for your eerily elegant table setting!
Wow, I love the vintage look of the plates. They are fantastic! :D And the haunted house makes such a darling centerpiece: I expect Scooby Doo and the Meddling Kids to come running out of it. I also like the retro look of the orange cup and saucer. So cute! Happy October and Halloween!
Halloween haunted houses is one of my favorite motifs. There are so many great stories around haunted houses and your tablescape sets the scene for a happier story about a lovely dinner. the house itself is great and the plates are such fun. Love the mats that set the scene for your plate stack. Such a fun setting. Wishing you a lovely Halloween.

Patti, your table certainly does feel slightly spooky, warmly inviting, and thoroughly ready for Halloween celebrations. I love the haunted house and those cute plates. Well done! Happy Halloween!
Pattie, I love the haunted house theme and the PB cookie jar and matching S & Ps carried out the centerpiece to perfection. Love the added gnarly trees for a bit of spook factor. The salad plates are so pretty - I haven't seen those before - and the green dinner plates and monstera leaf placemats, and pumpkin-colored cups and saucers add a wonderful softening overall tone. The new gold-hammered silverware is lovely and it's so special that you used your mom's vintage goblets. Wishing you a warm October and a happy Halloween.
Ooh fun - what's on the menu? Fettucine All Afraido? (: Ha! What ever you serve, it will be a fun meal!
Pattie, this is a warmly inviting table with appropriately shiver-inducing Halloween accents! I love the way you mixed orange and black themed pieces with seasonal greens. The centerpiece is a wonderful find. I enjoyed seeing the salad plates — I share the same pattern. Have a great and spooky October/Halloween.
Everything looks wonderful, as usual! So fun!
Hugs

How fun that you are able to pull out the good buys to create your table!! You have put together a delightfully scary little scene for some Halloween fun! I hope you have a fun October 🎃
Pattie, I love your table details, and your method of shopping your favorite seasonal pieces is one I also like to do. Certainly your patience paid off, and those pieces shine here (especialky with the twiated trees, love those). Great finds from PB and your vintage WS plates are perfectly suited. I'm loving the coupes, cheesecloth runner and flatware finds too Those will be quite versatile for fall tables. So will the cups & saucers ans those sweet wooden spoons.
Thanks so much for bringing your love of spooky and your gift of classy to the hop!
